Word on the Street worked with pupils from Chorlton High School and Chorlton Park Primary School to explore Chorlton and capture something of the essence of the area today.

The project has produced a series of video vignettes of special places that the children identified and captured in word and film. Each was recorded at the location that it's written about.

Markers at placed at each location allow you see the films and hear the poems by scanning a code with smartphone, or calling a phone number. There are twenty all together.

The temporary markers will later be replaced with permanent ones, installed in perpetuity in hope will they remind participants of their time in Chorlton when they return in many years to come.
